Facilities Management and Development launched a new work order management system this month that will offer an improved, updated and more efficient customer experience.
Planon will serve as FMD’s new project management platform and will enable facility projects and maintenance operations along with space and finance teams to effectively and efficiently manage facilities throughout the entire building lifecycle. This new program will also be the new spot for projects, service, and maintenance requests, in addition to storing all space information and details for the campus.
A new, intuitive interface will make it easier for facilities’ customers to check work statuses, see financial information, and receive automated updates on their project. Planon will also create a simple, seamless user experience for campus community members who need something fixed.
Planon will replace the functionality and requests that are currently handled by FAMIS.
FMD will be hosting open lab sessions Feb. 22 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and on Feb. 26 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. for campus users interested in learning more about the use of Planon. Please visit the Planon website for more information https://afd.calpoly.edu/facilities/requests/planon.
